Forest Form

I know, I’ve jinxed it haven’t I.

Forest’s last win against United was 2-1, and they’re now on a run of 2 consecutive 2-1 games. Surely not?

They’ve won one, lost one. A win against Sheffield United coming off the back of a hard fought defeat to Arsenal on the opening game of the season.

Sure, they have ex-United man Anthony Elanga in their ranks, but with 31 minutes total across both games, Steve Cooper will be reluctant to hand him a start especially as those cameos haven’t been electrifying.

But the X-factor of Elanga being an Ex-Red may come into play. Channeling his inner Djemba-Djemba, he may well come back to haunt us tomorrow if Cooper decides to play that hand.

It’s striker Taiwo Awoniyi that’s going to be the main threat for United, with a now reshuffled back-line that’s still very much anyone’s guess. His form of 2 goals in 2 games is menacing, and we’re going to have to call on Onana to once again produce the goods as a shot-stopper after already saving 11 shots in 2 games.

Chris Wood also bagged a goal last game around for Forest after just 7 minutes… could he also look to trip up United in their hunt for “identity” in what is a key pivotal season for ten Hag and his men?
