Amorim’s unclear return dates
Unfortunately there are some of Amorim’s injured men who we just aren’t sure as to when we’ll be seeing them again.
First up is new signing Ayden Heaven.
The centre-back was stretchered off in the club’s recent 3-0 win over Leicester after a clash with Patson Daka, with the 18-year-old seen leaving the stadium wearing a protective boot.
Heaven makes it to this list as whilst the initial signs of the stretcher and protective boot looked severe, he’s since been seen without it, however, it’s now been reported that the youngster is looking likely to re-join team training after the international break.
Next up is Luke Shaw.
Whilst Shaw has been seen in team training again, the left-back has yo-yo-ed in and out of the treatment room, having injury set-backs when he’s close to recovery or sustaining new injuries soon after making it back to the pitch, so until he’s back on the grass, his return is anyone’s guess.
Then there’s both of Amorim’s back-up goalkeepers, Altay Bayindir and Tom Heaton.
With the duo out for unknown injures, Amorim has been sitting young prospects Elyh Harrison and Dermot Mee on the bench in case of an issue with Andre Onana.
Speaking about the pair last month, Amorim commented that they are both “recovering”, however with no information about their injuries, it’s hard to gauge when we’ll see them back in the team.
Finally is Jonny Evans, United’s veteran centre-back.
We know that Evans has been ruled out since Boxing Day when Manchester United lost to Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-0 due to a muscle injury, however no return date has been given for the 37-year-old.
