With the Premier League season underway, clubs are working to finalise their squads before the transfer window closes.

Manchester United have already secured the signings of Mateus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, and Benjamin Sesko, but further reinforcements are still being targeted.

Manager Ruben Amorim is said to be prioritising a new goalkeeper and a central midfielder to partner Bruno Fernandes in his double pivot.

For fresh arrivals to come in, though, United must first raise funds through player sales.

The club remain admirers of Carlos Baleba, but Brighton’s high asking price means a deal is unlikely until next year unless funds are generated quickly.

Meanwhile, four players have been earmarked for departure as part of United’s “bomb squad.”

In addition, Rasmus Hojlund could be moved on following Sesko’s arrival, with AC Milan strongly linked as his most likely destination.

If United can get these five players out the door, it could raise huge amounts for reinvestment.

AC Milan have offered Manchester United a loan deal with an option to buy Rasmus Hojlund for £30 million.

The striker was initially sceptical about a move back to Italy, but with Benjamin Sesko arriving and his minutes likely to be limited, he is now believed to be reconsidering.

Meanwhile, Antony is holding out for a dream return to Real Betis, where he impressed on loan last season.

United have set a £35 million asking price, but Betis are unwilling to match that figure.

The winger remains determined to wait for Betis, though United are exploring other destinations.

A resolution is expected before the window closes.

Jadon Sancho has also been made available after returning from his loan at Chelsea.

However, his high wages have made negotiations difficult.

Roma are the latest side to show interest, tabling a loan offer with a £20 million obligation to buy.

Sancho, though, is reluctant to take a significant wage cut to move to Serie A.

Elsewhere, Tyrell Malacia endured a difficult loan spell last season and United are keen to move him on.

His market value is low, and fitness concerns have so far put clubs off making a bid.

Perhaps the most significant outgoing could be Alejandro Garnacho.

The Argentine has been frozen out of the first-team squad, and United see his sale as a chance to generate pure PSR profit.

Garnacho is keen on a move to Chelsea, but negotiations remain at a standstill.

United want £50 million, while Chelsea value him closer to £30 million.

Both clubs, however, are confident a compromise can be reached before the deadline.

Which would free up funds for United to reinvest in a new midfielder and goalkeeper.
