Manchester United are desperate to sign a striker in this summer’s transfer window.
After first-team forwards Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee combined for just seven Premier League goals last season, with United managing only 44 in total, revamping the attack has become a top priority.
Having already added Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha, the club is now looking to complete a new-look front three by signing a true number 9.
United have already been turned down by Victor Gyokeres, Hugo Ekitike, and Victor Osimhen, narrowing their striker search to Ollie Watkins and Benjamin Sesko – with the club seemingly now focused on Sesko.
Sesko, a talented 22-year-old striker, is known for his physical presence and ability to score spectacular goals.
Though still raw, he has world-class potential.
Christopher Vivell, who previously signed him, is now pushing to bring the Slovenian to Old Trafford, where he believes he can develop into a top-class centre-forward.
United have now submitted a bid worth up to €85 million for the striker.
But with serious competition for his signature, with Newcastle and Manchester United both agreeing personal terms, the question remains: where will Benjamin Sesko end up this window?

Newcastle United
Newcastle United are serious contenders for Benjamin Sesko as they prepare for the potential departure of Alexander Isak.
The Swedish striker is attracting strong interest from Liverpool, and Newcastle could be forced to cash in.
As a result, the Magpies are actively pursuing a replacement and their top target is the same as Manchester United’s: Benjamin Sesko.
Newcastle have already submitted two bids for the RB Leipzig striker, with the second reportedly reaching up to €90 million, a figure that surpasses United’s offer.
Determined not to lose out, Newcastle hoped to beat United to the deal by simply outbidding them and bidding early.
However, Manchester United returned with a revised bid of their own, and the race is now neck-and-neck.
The decision is now firmly in Sesko’s hands.
Newcastle are pushing hard, keen to make a statement after a summer of struggle in the transfer window, but they face stiff competition from Manchester United.
As it stands, the Slovenian striker must now choose between two of the Premier League’s most ambitious projects.
Manchester United
United believe that Benjamin Sesko would prefer a move to Old Trafford, a belief that partly explains their delay in submitting a formal bid.
The club were confident the Slovenian striker was waiting for them to make their move, despite mounting interest from Newcastle.
Now, with the Magpies pushing hard, United have finally put forward an €85 million offer and are hoping it will be enough to convince both RB Leipzig and Sesko himself.
There is, however, a note of caution at United.
Two years ago, the club spent heavily on Rasmus Hojlund, another young, raw striker with immense potential but have since struggled to develop him into a consistent Premier League goalscorer.
That experience could have made United slightly apprehensive about repeating the same process, but there is a strong belief internally that Sesko is a more complete talent, with all the tools to thrive under Ruben Amorim.
Sesko is strong, dominant in the air, quick across the ground, and capable of running the channels – making him a perfect fit for Amorim’s system.
He offers a much-needed out ball and would be expected to start every game as United’s leading striker.
Crucially, with Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha also arriving this summer, there will be less pressure on Sesko to deliver immediately.
If they can land the Slovenian, United will then turn their focus to signing a new midfielder and goalkeeper, aiming to complete a transformational summer rebuild.

Benjamin Sesko has yet to make his final decision but one is expected very soon.
Both Manchester United and Newcastle are desperate to land the striker with few viable alternatives left on the market.
Each club sees Sesko as the missing piece in their attack and is relying on him to lead the line next season.
With both teams offering starting roles, competitive squads and long term projects, the choice rests entirely with the player.
Whichever club secures his signature will feel they have landed one of Europes most exciting young forwards.
The other will be left scrambling for a Plan B.
