Amad Diallo
Amad Diallo was dealt a cruel blow in pre-season.
After lighting up The Championship last season at Sunderland, Diallo was expected to challenge the likes of Antony, Jadon Sancho and Facundo Pellistri on the right hand side of the pitch.
However, the young Ivory Coast international picked up an injury against Arsenal in a friendly in June and has been out since.
Whether he jumps straight back into the first team upon his return remains to be seen.
With Sancho seemingly likely to be out of the club in January, it does present an opportunity for Diallo to challenge for that right wing spot for the first team.
But if ten Hag and his management staff feel that the former Atalanta youngster still needs more regular first team football, then a move back to The Championship and to an upwardly mobile Blues might be a good shout for all parties involved.
