Was this Ralf Rangnick’s best victory as Manchester United manager?

At the very least, it was the high point in his dismal spell in charge as United interim manager

Ronaldo, this time in his second spell at the club, was the decisive element of the game.

Having missed the Manchester Derby days earlier allegedly due to injury, Ronaldo played like he had a point to prove.

The Portuguese legend opened the scoring after 12 minutes, before Harry Kane equalised by penalty on 35 after a handball was awarded against Alex Telles.

Ronaldo scored again to give United the lead three minutes later, before a Harry Maguire own goal in the 78th minute seemed to give the visitors all three points.

Ronaldo was not going to let that happen as he completed his hat-trick four minutes later to give United a 3-2 win.

In the process of the match, Ronaldo scored his 805th, 806th and 807th professional goals, passing Josef Bican mark for the most in competitive matches, according to RSSSF.

After this high point, however, the rest of the season was pretty much a write-off.

But at least we got to see Ronaldo put in a display that will go down in Old Trafford history as one of those nights where the Portuguese proved, once again, that he’s one of the greatest of all time.
