Manchester United 4 – 0 Tottenham Hotspur
2001/02
Two goalscorers equalled four goals for United.
Beckham, who always seemed to love to score against Spurs, grabbed the opener after 15 minutes.
Ruud van Nistelrooy, arguably one of the greatest finishers in English Premier League history, made it 2-0 with a penalty before half time – a penalty decision that saw Spurs down to 10 men after Mauricio Taricco was sent out for the foul.
Another additional strike from both Beckham and van Nistelrooy cemented a comfortable, comprehensive and decisive win for Sir Alex’s men.
