Casemiro
Keep
The criticism aimed at Casemiro this season has been unfair.
Gary Neville has been critical of the decision to sign him and many others have commented that he’s not the same player he was.
But people tend to have short memories. When Casemiro signed for United last year, they went a long time without losing while he was in the team. He was up for team of the year type conversations.
Now people are talking like he’s a washed up, has-been.
It’s almost like people are rewriting history already.
He was even our top scorer in all competitions at a point earlier this season before he got injured.
Yes, he’s on a lot of money and yes he’s not at the peak of his powers.
But he’s already shown that he can perform and excel in the English Premier League.
A fit and firing Casemiro would not only be good for the team, but the experience he’ll pass on to someone like Kobbie Mainoo could be even more important.
