Marcus Rashford – 4/10

Rashford’s impact was limited, and he struggled to find or create meaningful opportunities. The absence of a genuine left-back possibly hindered his play.

Antony – 6/10

In his comeback game post-suspension, Antony made notable contributions. His dribbling skills and a cross that almost culminated in a goal showcased his value to the team.

Rasmus Hojlund – 5/10

A subdued performance from United’s striker saw him largely starved of opportunities, but he displayed moments of promise.

Christian Eriksen – 6/10

After replacing McTominay in the 63rd minute, Eriksen brought a sense of calm and structure to the midfield.

Alejandro Garnacho – 6/10

Garnacho’s lively presence off the bench energized United’s attack, marking another astute substitution by ten Hag.

Anthony Martial, Mason Mount, and Raphael Varane – N/A

The trio didn’t have enough playtime to warrant a score.

Erik ten Hag – 5/10

Ten Hag’s choice to field Scott McTominay ahead of Mason Mount was puzzling. Although it’s conceivable he wanted to reward McTominay for his recent double against Brentford, this switch seemed to disrupt the midfield’s flow.

With McTominay on the pitch, Bruno Fernandes had to fall back more often, a role Mason Mount could’ve handled, which limited Fernandes’ typical creative prowess in his preferred number 10 role. The rest of ten Hag’s lineup decisions, however, seemed on point.
