Christian Eriksen – 9/10
For the second consecutive match, Eriksen was pivotal. His composure aided the team in sustaining attacks and creating opportunities. His assist for Maguire’s goal was nothing short of sublime. Changed the game completely.
Alejandro Garnacho – 6/10
Despite a brief stint post the 63rd-minute mark, Garnacho’s missed 1v1 chance stands out. However, his defensive contributions and knack for winning pressure-relieving fouls merit praise.
Anthony Martial and Victor Lindelof – N/A
Erik ten Hag – 3/10
Ten Hag’s recent decisions have raised doubts about his vision in games. The call to start Scott McTominay over the likes of Christian Eriksen or Mason Mount is bewildering. McTominay’s underwhelming display was exacerbated by the tactical choice of deploying Fernandes in a deeper role. Ten Hag’s strategy will undoubtedly be under the microscope in the ensuing matches.
