Sofyan Amrabat – 4/10

The Moroccan had a muted presence, being substituted at halftime. Opting to replace him instead of McTominay raised eyebrows, especially given McTominay’s later error that nearly cost us the game.

Scott McTominay – 2/10

It’s challenging to articulate the team’s diminished dynamism when McTominay starts. Renowned for his goal-scoring prowess, his off days see him contributing little. His latest blunder, conceding a penalty, reaffirms concerns about his inclusion in the starting lineup.

Bruno Fernandes – 7/10

Fernandes epitomized the phrase “a game of two halves”. The first half saw him frequently dropping deep, compromising his natural attacking instincts. Post-intermission, reinstated to his preferred number 10 role, he began influencing proceedings. A stellar pass to Alejandro Garnacho deserved an assist, but the recipient faltered in the final moment.
