5. Hunger for Hojlund

The £72million arrival was a notable absence from the matchday squad, with many United fans desperate to see their new man in action.

Occupying the centre forward position tonight, Marcus Rashford cut a frustrated figure due to a significant shortage in supply.

Wolves defended well, not allowing United to break the down or play the ball in behind, other than Fernandes’ sumptuous flick over the top in the build up to Raphael Varane’s winner.

There is no doubt that Rashford is more effective coming in off the left.

The Old Trafford faithful will be anxious to get a glimpse of the 20-year-old Danish striker before too long.
