4. Wide men careless in possession

Both Alejandro Garnacho and Antony were profligate with possession on the wings.

Frequently, both players made poor decisions, giving the ball away in promising situations, repeatedly offering Wolves the chance to hit United on the break.

Those persistent turnovers left the defenders exposed with many players surging forward in an attempt to break down Wolves’ solid back line.
