2. Frailties in midfield

Huge gaps were visible in the middle of the park throughout, allowing Wolves to carve through the heart of United’s midfield and create dangerous passages of attacking play.

Bruno Fernandes and Mason Mount were often caught high up the field, leaving a leggy-looking Casemiro alone in the holding position.
