In a crazy turn of events, Manchester United’s rivals, Liverpool, may be about to help them part ways with Jadon Sancho.

Whilst Liverpool are yet to make any signings this summer with transfer deadline day only three days away, their first dip into the transfer market could help United in a massive way.

Fabrizio Romano has recently confirmed that Liverpool have now made an initial approach for Juventus wantaway, Frederico Chiesa. It’s understood that whilst Chiesa has been wanting a move to Barcelona, the obstacles in the way of this could see the move fail to happen.

Barcelona are in a dire situation when it comes to their finances, with the LaLiga club having been unable to register new signing Dani Olmo until more sales have been made. News has broken this morning that the Spanish side have now completed the registration of Olmo, but it still puts into question the reality of them being able to sign any other player this summer.

So, in place of this move, Chiesa appears to be keen to move to the Premier League with Juventus wanting to find a new cub for the winger.

Now on the surface this appears irrelevant to United, however Juve are extremely keen on signing Jadon Sancho but don’t have the funds to be able to do this or to meet his ridiculous salary demands.

As a result, it was recently reported that the purchase of Sancho entirely depends on the sale of Chiesa.

This wouldn’t be the first or strangest domino effect of United’s transfer season this summer, with Fulham firmly taking that prize.

In a weird turn of events, Fulham pulled out of a deal for Scott McTominay after agreeing to his asking price, to sign Sander Berge of Burnley instead. However with Burnley now needing a replacement to Berge, the Championship club have turned to United to sign Hannibal Mejbri, which is due to go through this week for £9.5 million.
