David Ornstein has now confirmed the day is upon us, the rollercoaster ride that has been the transfer interest in Scott McTominay is nearly over.
Throughout the summer, McTominay has been linked with an incredible eight different teams.
In the Premier League; Fulham, Spurs, Everton, Brighton and Crystal Palace have all been looking to sign the midfielder, whilst overseas interest has come from Galatasaray, Fenerbahce, and the ultimate victors, Napoli.
Of all these clubs, Galatasaray was the only other team that the Scotland international agreed terms with, despite Fulham leading the race.

Up until last Monday, Fulham looked set to sign the 27-year-old, before they walked away from the deal only hours after agreeing to match United’s asking price.
With Fulham having such an aggressive pursuit of McTominay, most other clubs backed away, so the Cottagers then dramatically abandoning he deal, left the door open for Napoli to race forwards and take the lead.

The Athletic reported has confirmed that a deal has been reached between Napoli and Manchester United for £25.4 million (€30 million), including a sell-on clause for an unknown percentage.
Napoli previously put in a bid of £21 million which was rejected by United, however the Serie A have now met the Red Devils’ asking price for their star midfielder.
With McTominay being a graduate of the United academy, his sale represents ‘pure profit’ under the Premier League and UEFA’s Profit and Sustainability Rules, helping United’s compliance with the legislation.
It’s understood that McTominay has already agreed personal terms with Napoli for a four year contract, with the Serie A side being his preferred move this summer.
