Xavi Simons has been a wanted man this summer transfer window.
Ever since he scored a stunner against England in the UEFA Euro 2024 semi-final for the Netherlands, people have been wondering what’s next in his career.
The current Paris Saint-Germain star is seemingly looking to move on from the club to gain more first-team experience.
Still only 21, Simons has been highlighted as a star in the making.
He spent the season on loan at RB Leipzig last time out and really caught the eye with his performances.
Due to that, he’s been linked with a range of clubs.
Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich were the first to be linked with the attacking midfielder.
Manchester United were then mentioned as one of the names who could hijack a move to the Allianz Arena.
It seems that Xavi Simons has made a decision on where he will be moving next.
Sky Sport Germany are reporting that Simons is set to stay at RB Leipzig for another season on loan.
Bayern have been informed of his decision and their hierarchy are now shifting focus to Desire Doue instead.
Ironically, Doue was another player linked with United earlier in the window.
The loan agreement for Simons is just being finalised and should be completed soon.
RB Leipzig fans will get to see the youngster at the Red Bull Arena for a little while longer still.
