There are certain players who are destined for the top of the world of football.

The likes of Lionel Messi, Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo were prodigious talents who turned into global superstars.

Since then, the term ‘wonderkid’ has become synonymous with the next big world talent.

And football fans around the world are eager to find the next big wonderkid.

One of those is currently playing within the Arsenal youth team structure and has broken multiple records already this season.

It’s now emerged that one of the most talented players to come out of Arsenal’s Hale End academy has visited Manchester United Football Club to potentially discuss a transfer to the club.

Just to note – recent Hale End graduates include Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe. And many so this youngster is the best of the lot.

Chido-Obi Martin is a name that football fans should take note of.

Obi-Martin made headlines last season for his goalscoring exploits.

In a match against Norwich City Under-18s in April, the striker scored 7 goals in a 9-0 victory.

Even prior to that performance, he was turning heads at the club when he scored 10 goals against Liverpool Under-16s in October 2023.

It’s not just at the club level that he’s shone. The youngster, eligible for both Denmark and England, has scored 10 goals in 14 appearances for the Denmark Under-17s. So we’re talking about a serious talent here.

And it seems that United are making moves to bring him to Old Trafford.

Now.Arsenal are referencing Academy Scoop, a Twitter/X account that keeps their ears to the ground when it comes to top academy talents, that Chido Obi-Martin visited Carrington this week to discuss a move to United.

Obi-Martin has yet to agree scholarship terms with his current club Arsenal, despite constructive talks with Mikel Arteta, and he could potentially move to Old Trafford instead.

This would be a significant coup if United could pull it off.

The striker is highly rated at Arsenal and they’d be loathed to lose him – especially to a rival like United.

United, of course, have been strengthening their youth team attacking talent over the summer already.

Camron Mpofu joined the club from Reading at the beginning of the month. While Silva Mexes was brought in shortly after the season ended.

If Obi-Martin was to sign, then United would have a potential generational talent on their hands. Getting him for next to nothing from a rival would be the cherry on the cake.
