Manchester United are in the midst of extensive preparations for the new season, with Ruben Amorim and his coaching staff working tirelessly to refine tactics and build squad cohesion.

The Red Devils have focused heavily on conditioning and match-readiness, ensuring players can handle the demands of a congested fixture list across the Premier League.

Training sessions have revealed areas for improvement, particularly in defence and transitional play, as the club seeks to blend experienced stars with emerging talent.

Manchester United’s management has also been reviewing squad depth, with a clear emphasis on giving younger players meaningful minutes while keeping senior members fresh and injury-free.

Supporters have been following every development closely, hoping the team can improve on last season’s inconsistencies and make a stronger push in all competitions.

Amid these preparations, Manchester United have confirmed on their official website that goalkeeper Andre Onana will spend the 2025/26 season on loan at Turkish Super Lig side Trabzonspor.

Annouincing the goalkeepers move, United commented: “Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana has joined Trabzonspor on loan for the duration of the 2025/26 season, subject to international clearance and registration.”

The statment continued: “The 29-year-old Cameroon international has made 102 appearances for the Reds since signing from Italian giants Inter in July 2023.

“In his first season at United, Andre was part of the squad that lifted the Emirates FA Cup following a 2-1 victory over Manchester City at Wembley Stadium.

“Onana played 50 times in his second campaign and our no.24 has now agreed a loan move to Trabzonspor.

“The move has been completed ahead of the Turkish transfer window closing on Friday. We would like to wish Andre good luck.”

The 29-year-old Cameroonian has struggled to secure a regular starting spot this season, as several high-profile errors and inconsistent performances saw Andre Onana fall down the pecking order, eventually becoming second-choice behind Altay Bayindir.

The loan agreement involves Trabzonspor covering Onana’s wages, while the goalkeeper will also be eligible for performance-related bonuses throughout the season.

It has been reported that this move will allow him to receive a salary increase as well.

This move provides Onana with an opportunity to regain confidence and form in a fresh environment, away from the intense scrutiny of the Premier League spotlight.

For Manchester United, the loan allows room for other goalkeepers to step up and for squad management to remain flexible as the campaign progresses.

Fans will be keen to see how Onana performs in Turkey, while the club continues to focus on strengthening key areas and maintaining competition within the first-team squad.
