Manchester United have been through a whole host of managers since Sir Alex Ferguson left the club in 2013, ending his 27 year reign at Old Trafford.

Since then, The Red Devils have had a total of six permanent managers; David Moyes, Louis van Gaal, Jose Mourinho, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Erik ten Hag and Ruben Amorim, as well as Michael Carrick, Ralf Rangnick and Ruud van Nistelrooy as interim managers, holding the fort between permanent posts.

Whilst all of the former United bosses have their time at Old Trafford in common, three have another factor in common, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Jose Mourinho and Erik ten Hag all being fired from their new roles within a week of each other.

After a season in the Turkish Super Lig, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was let go by Besiktas whilst Fenerbahce sacked Jose Mourinho, with Erik ten Hag being fired by Bayer Leverkusen only two months after taking the job.

Now, Austria boss Ralf Rangnick has been reported as being close to joining the trio in being clubless, if Austria don’t qualify for the 2026 World Cup.

However, this isn’t the only reason why Rangnick has been in the news lately, with the former United manager being seen riding round the pitch before and at half time in Austria’s qualifying clash with Bosnia & Herzegovina.

The Daily Mail has reported that Rangnick was using the bike to help his mobility after recovering from surgery on his ankle after having complications during the summer.

The Austria boos rode over to he pre-match interview as wells as from the dugout to the tunnel at half-time, joking that it was a bit far for him to hobble otherwise.
