Manchester United have just concluded a busy summer transfer window that saw the Red Devils bring in many top names including Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko.
Cunha’s introduction to life at Old Trafford has been slightly disrupted following his injury against Burnley in the Premier League.
But, following an update from the former Wolverhampton Wanderers man, there is hope that the Brazilian will be able for United’s fixture against fierce rivals Manchester City in a week’s time.
Meanwhile, Mbeumo has settled into life well under Ruben Amorim’s guardianship with the former Brentford man scoring twice in four appearances following his arrival.
Furthermore, he has picked up the award for Manchester United’s Player Of The Month for August.
To end, Sesko has played in each of United’s four games this season but has failed to hit the heights of Mbeumo so far.
But, even with this summer’s window just closing, there is already a focus on January’s transfer window and next summer’s window.
Now, with this in mind, a Serie A star has given Manchester United a transfer boost.
Following the Netherlands’ game versus Poland, Inter Milan player Denzel Dumfries stated that “the Premier League is a fantastic competition.”
He also commented that “if there were a professional opportunity, I would certainly be interested.”
With the defender saying this, the possibility of a move to Old Trafford could open up should Ruben Amorim’s side pursue him in January or at some point next summer.
But, with a full season to play, nothing can be said for sure yet.
Therefore, the chances of Manchester United signing Denzel Dumfries in the future can’t be determined yet.
What is clear is that a move for the defender could be open should United choose to pursue it in the future.
