Marcus Rashford was one of many names to move away from Old Trafford this summer as he joined La Liga giants Barcelona on a loan deal.
But, since being officially being unveiled by the Spanish outfit, the English international has arguably faced a number of problems.
When he joined, it initially appeared that Barcelona wouldn’t be able to register the winger with La Liga due to their financial worries.
However, following a period of concern, Rashford was able to be officially registered onto the league enabling him to play in Barcelona’s La Liga fixtures during the upcoming season.
With this the case, Rashford would have hoped that he would be able to continue the goalscoring form that he had found in pre-season – where he officially scored his first goal for the club.
But, following the start of the season, concerns emerged about the possibility of Barcelona cancelling the 27-year-old’s loan deal early and sending him back to Old Trafford with publications reporting about how the Spanish outfit were considering their options in this possibility.
Now, following Rashford’s participation in England’s game against Andorra on Saturday night, an important update has emerged granting clarification to the winger’s situation at the club.
According to journalist Guillem Balague, speaking on his X account, the possibility that Barcelona is planning to send Marcus Rashford back early is “absolutely rubbish.”
Furthermore, the journalist has stated that Barça told Rashford’s representative that they have a lot of confidence in his potential and that they believe he will recover as a top player.
With this news revealed, attention will arguably turn towards how the English international will fare in the rest of his loan spell.
If he is able to find form, we could see Rashford embrace success once again.
