This summer has seen Manchester United recruit five new players to the men’s senior team, spending a combined £228.8 million including add-ons on their new signings.

Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko have all joined the United attack, which left-wing-back Diego Leon has joined from Cerro Porteno, and Senne Lammens has move to Old Trafford to fight for the first-choice goalkeeper position.

However, the club’s recruitment isn’t over, with the Manchester United women’s team still active in the transfer window with their deadline day this coming Thursday.

As such, Manchester United and Manchester City are working on two deals which would see both clubs gain a quality midfielder from the other.

United are looking at signing Jess Park from City, whilst The Citizens are looking to seal a deal for Grace Clinton.

Now, Sky Sports has reported that United have now accepted an offer for Clinton, albeit reluctantly.

Both of the targets have been a part of the England Lionesses who won Euro 2025 this summer, with the pair regarded as some of the best young talents in the Women’s Super League.

Whilst City are now set to be in contact with Grace Clinton and her agents to agree personal terms for the move, new City boss Andree Jeglertz is also expecting to retain Jess Park.

In his first pre-match press conference ahead of their game with Chelsea, Jeglertz was asked if he expects to still have Park in his squad at the end of the transfer window, to which he responded: “Of course. If that happens or if anything else happens, I’m sure that we will have an announcement.”
