Manchester United have had a busy transfer window with several new names walking through the door.
Firstly, Matheus Cunha was confirmed as United’s first signing from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Following this, an influx of signings emerged as the summer progressed.
From Bryan Mbeumo to Benjamin Sesko, the Red Devils attracted some of the best talent in the world.
However, it doesn’t look like the Red Devils are done yet with Ruben Amorim’s side said to be targeting a new goalkeeper, either in the form of Senne Lammens or Emiliano Martinez.
Furthermore, it looks like Manchester United have completed another signing.
But, this signing will join the United academy, not the first team.
According to Always Wolves, Manchester United have completed the signing of 15-year-old forward Ben Lyne.
Lyne becomes the second person to join United from Wolves following Matheus Cunha.
The 15-year-old will be joining the academy ahead of the new campaign according to the publication.
Earlier in the month, it had been revealed that Lyne had signed for United.
But, confirmation from another source arguably helps to solidify this news.
The forward is eligible for the Republic of Ireland and he was born in the Cayman Islands.
On the Islands, he was scouted in a tournament playing for the Total Soccer Cayman academy.
In May, he scored both goals for St. Flannan’s College in a 2-1 win over Scoil Dara to lift the FAI Schools First Year Boys National Cup.
Ben Lyne will now aim to impress Under 18s manager Darren Fletcher and make his debut at that age group for the Red Devils.
He will also join up with the rest of the Under 18s squad as they enter a new, hopefully successful season.
But, we will have to wait to see how the forward progresses.
