Zachary Baumann is set to leave Manchester United this summer.
The midfielder, who came up through the academy, is understood to be pursuing a permanent move away from the club.
Since joining the Red Devils academy, Baumann has been able to progress well.
Furthermore, he was a part of the Under-18 side that won the treble in the 2023-24 season.
As well as this, the deal is set to be completed before tomorrow evening’s transfer deadline.
However, the club that Baumann would join appeared to be unclear earlier.
Now, the club that the midfielder will join has been revealed.
According to Manchester Evening News, Zachary Baumann will now join Norwich City.
The Canaries, who currently play in the EFL Championship, are known for having a good track record with developing young players.
If Baumann does complete a permanent move to Carrow Road, he will join up with names such as Josh Sargent and Papa Diallo.
Furthermore, he will join an experienced midfield unit which features names such as Kenny McLean and Emiliano Marcondes.
These are arguably players who can help the United academy star grow even more.
Furthermore, with Baumann wanting to kickstart his professional career, Norwich City arguably is a good place to start.
However, given the depth available in the City squad, Baumann may have to be patient to get game time.
Now, attention arguably will turn towards an official announcement from Norwich and United to confirm the youngster’s move.
If Baumann is able to embrace success in the Championship, the Premier League could be a move that seems likely.
However, only time will tell in that long prospect.
