Manchester United are continuing to push to offload Jadon Sancho despite several deals for the winger already falling through this summer.

Last season saw the former England international on loan with Chelsea, with the Stamford Bridge outfit having an obligatory buy clause for £25 million should they finish above 14th in the Premier League.

Finishing in fourth, qualifying for the Champions League, the buy clause was triggered; however, a disagreement over his permanent wages saw Jadon Sancho return to Old Trafford with Chelsea paying a £5 million penalty fee.

Since returning for pre-season training, Sancho has found himself with the “bomb squad”, undertaking individual training away from the senior squad along with Alejandro Garnacho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia.

Early on in the transfer window, Chelsea’s rejection seemed to open the door for Italian giants Juventus, as The Old Lady looked to end their long-term interest by signing the 25-year-old.

Sancho’s agent was seen in Turin in a bid to seal the deal, with the winger setting his heart on Juve over other offers from teams like Fenerbahce and Napoli.

However, Sancho’s agent appeared to be the transfer’s downfall, with his hefty commission fee being too much for Juve to agree to pay, seeing the move collapse.

In the wake of the deal dying, AS Roma jumped on the opportunity, looking to being the winger to the Italian capital, offering to cover most of his £300,000 per week wage at Old Trafford.

Unfortunately however, his agent’s fee was still causing issues, with United warning their unwanted man that they’d extend his contract to prevent him leaving for free next summer in a bid to for the move.

Ultimately Jadon Sancho rejected a move to Roma, however i News has now reported that Roma aren’t giving up on their man despite the rejection.

It’s understood that Sancho rejected the move to “pursue other options”, however with only three days left of the transfer window, other options haven’t surfaced.

Speaking about their interest in Sancho, Roma boss Gian Piero Gasperini commented in a recent press conference jokingly: “Call him if you have his number.”

He continued; “You seem to know everything. I don’t know what the margins are now. Sancho is a possibility, we are a possibility for him. If that is not the case, he’ll stay where he is.

“He would be a huge boost for us, but we would be an enormous opportunity for him. Not sure if it can still happen, but we don’t have to pray someone to come here.”
