Bruno Fernandes is once again being targeted for a major move to the Saudi Pro League, with Al-Ittihad keen to sign Manchester United’s captain.

Already this summer, Fernandes has been targeted by another Saudi club, Al-Hilal, in what would have been a mega-money deal for United.

Al-Hilal were offering £100 million for The Red Devils’ star midfielder, with the Portugal international being offered a £200 million contract, quadrupling his £280,000 per week salary.

Ultimately Fernandes rejected the move, opting to remain with United to continue with the project under Ruben Amorim to restore the club to its former glory.

Now, The Daily Mail has reported that Fernandes will be open to offers to leave Old Trafford, however not until next year.

It’s understood that the Portugal international wants to remain with United for the 2025/26 Premier League season to avoid any disruption with changing clubs before the World Cup next year.

The report explains that Bruno Fernandes will be open to a new project away from Old Trafford, considering clubs from one of Europe’s major leagues, the MLS or even the Saudi Pro League.

Whilst the club’s captain is now considering a move after next season, Ruben Amorim will be glad to have his star man for another season at least.

Fernandes was Ruben Amorim’s stand-out player last season, registering the club’s most goals with 19, with Alejandro Garnacho and Amad Diallo coming joint second with 11, and most assists with 19 again, with the pair of wingers again coming second with 10.

Showing how vital Fernandes was to Amorim’s side, the Portugal international scored more goals and registered more goal contributions than both of the club’s strikers, Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee combined, with the duo scoring a total of 17 goals and grabbing a combined seven assists.
