The past week has seen plenty of quiet movement behind the scenes at Old Trafford, as Manchester United continue to stabilise under Sir Jim Ratcliffe and the INEOS regime.

New training facilities are now fully operational, giving the squad a modern base for preparation, while transfer activity and squad planning remain a priority for Ruben Amorim’s team.

Fans have noticed a reduction in unrest at the club following the opening weekend of the season, with some protests shelved after negative feedback to the organisers.

Meanwhile, discussions about a potential new stadium continue in the background, signalling long-term ambitions from the current ownership.

Amid all this, speculation about fresh investment or takeovers has been circulating, particularly from international suitors with deep pockets.

Last week, a clause in Ratcliffe’s contract with the Glazer family came into play that could have paved the way for a potential sale.

Known as the ‘drag-along right,’ this provision allows the Glazers to sell their controlling stake even if Ratcliffe and his INEOS consortium do not want to participate.

While the clause technically opens the door for offers, the reality of new bids remains far from certain.

Attention has turned to Sheikh Jassim and his 92 Foundation, who were involved in the last high-profile attempt to purchase Manchester United two years ago, only to be beaten by Ratcliffe’s bid.

However, according to MailSport, there is ‘zero interest’ from the Qatari side in returning to the negotiating table.

Instead, Sheikh Jassim is fully focused on other “mega projects,” including a bid to host the 2036 Olympic Games, leaving the club’s ownership largely untouched by outside interference.

Ratcliffe and his team have faced criticism over the past two years, with some fans unhappy with certain decisions.

Yet there are signs of positive progress, from modernised facilities to backing Amorim in the transfer market.

Many supporters remain keen to see Ratcliffe outline a plan that could eventually remove the Glazers entirely, but for now, the Sheikh Jassim approach seems firmly off the agenda.

While uncertainty has been a defining feature of the club in recent seasons, Manchester United now appears to be gradually emerging from that period, with Ratcliffe and INEOS focused on consolidation rather than entertaining new high-profile bidders.
