Jesse Lingard’s Manchester United career promised much but ultimately ended on a disappointing note.
Having come through the academy and spending over a decade at Old Trafford, he showed flashes of brilliance.
Most notably scoring in cup finals and providing moments of flair.
But inconsistency and heavy criticism towards the back end of his time with United left his spell at the club clouded in frustration.
His subsequent move to Nottingham Forest failed to reignite his career in England, with a short stint at the City Ground yielding little success.
It was only after a bold switch abroad that Lingard found the fresh start he needed.
The 32-year-old shocked many by joining South Korean side FC Seoul in February 2024.
A move labelled one of the most significant in K-League history.
Now, 18 months on, he has secured his first major award since leaving England.

As stated by news outlet EnglishAbroad1 on X, Lingard has been named the K-League’s Player of the Month after a fine run of form for FC Seoul.
The midfielder scored twice in four games, collecting two Man of the Match awards along the way.
While also being recognised with a Player of the Week accolade.
It marks a remarkable turnaround for Lingard, who initially struggled in South Korea but has since captained the side and become an influential figure.
Reflecting on his progress, he praised coach Kim Gi-dong for his clear tactical vision and expressed hope that the K-League continues its growth.
Lingard has recently suffered troubles off the pitch, with his clothing company being struck off.
However, he’ll be hoping his recent on-pitch revival will continue to take centre stage in his career.
