Last season, the two sides endured differing seasons with the Gunners embracing success through a second place finish whilst United largely weren’t able to find their feet resulting in a 15th place finish.
But, following a summer of change and rebuild, the Red Devils will be aiming to push themselves towards the English top flight’s coveted European places at the summit of the table.
To achieve this, a positive start to the season arguably is essential making tomorrow’s game against United’s Premier League counterparts even more important.
Now, Arsenal’s team news has been revealed ahead of the fixture.
According to their match preview on their official website, Gunners winger Leandro Trossard is hoping to join in with training and is aiming to put himself into contention ahead of the game.

The Englishman had previously limped off injured against Tottenham Hotspur during a pre-season match in Hong Kong.
Gaining this injury had forced the former Brighton and Hove Albion man to miss Arsenal’s two home fixtures against Villarreal and Athletic Club which took place earlier at the Emirates Stadium.
If Trossard does return, his inclusion in the Gunners’ matchday squad may positively impact Arsenal’s chance of being successful in the game.
But, if he is included, the risk of reinjuring his body may also be taken into account which could see Gunners boss Mikel Arteta limit his involvement in proceedings.
What is for sure is that only time will tell in both the inclusion of Leandro Trossard in both Arsenal’s squad tomorrow and in the Gunners’ opening Premier League fixtures in the coming weeks.
