Manchester United faced a tough season full of injuries last year when they ended their campaign with a 1-0 loss in the UEFA Europa League final.

With preseason now over and the Premier League 25/26 season now only a few days away, the Red Devils will be looking for a strong start.

Joshua Zirkzee and Andre Onana have returned to first-team training.

New signing Benjamin Sesko also completed his first training session on Monday.

Lisandro Martinez is training on grass by himself as he prepares for a return in due course.

CentreDevils can exclusively reveal that Noussair Mazraoui is expected to miss the season opener vs Arsenal, with the Moroccan currently doing strength and rehabilitation work at Carrington.

The club are insisting that he has suffered a minor injury from the tour in the US and it is not a significant injury.

He is currently working hard to get back.

Ruben Amorim will be keen to get Mazraoui back in the team as soon as possible.

He can play on both sides of the defence and has even been used in midfield, showcasing his adaptability.

Amorim will mostly use him as the right-sided centre-back in his back three system.

He can also play as a wingback.

The Red Devils will miss him as they take on Arsenal on this upcoming Sunday on the 17th of August.

Luckily they still have great defensive options to cover him instead.

Leny Yoro, Ayden Heaven, Harry Maguire, Matthijs de Ligt and Luke Shaw are all available and can play across the back three.

Patrick Dorgu, Harry Amass, Amad, and Diogo Dalot are also all available to play in the wing-back positions.

United fans will be hopeful that Mazraoui makes a fast recovery.
