Jadon Sancho’s future at Manchester United remains one of the unresolved storylines of the summer transfer window.

Since Chelsea opted against keeping the winger, United have had to scour the market for potential buyers – which hasn’t been easy.

While INEOS are open to sanctioning his departure, the Englishman has yet to commit to any destination, leaving the club and suitors waiting.

The 25-year-old’s stance has created uncertainty for interested sides, with several potential deals stalling for various reasons.

Top European clubs including Chelsea, Juventus, Inter Milan and AS Roma have all been linked.

Roma recently made contact with Sancho’s camp, although that remains at an initial stage.

However, none have been able to finalise an agreement.

Besiktas have appeared as a recent name interested in Sancho, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer keen on a reunion.

However, that door may well already be closed.

According to Fabrizio Romano on his YouTube channel, Sancho appears against a move to Turkey.

Romano stated: “Besiktas would love to sign Jadon Sancho.

“But my understanding is that Sancho doesn’t want to go to Turkey.

“At least for now.”

Romano explained that while Besiktas are eager to secure his signature and reunite him with Solskjaer, Sancho’s priorities lie elsewhere.

“If, by September 1, Sancho still hasn’t secured a move and the market remains open, there could be other possibilities.

“For now, however, he is not considering a switch to Turkey.

“He prefers to wait, and there are Italian clubs calling.

“Sancho’s exit will be another important topic in the final days of the summer transfer window.”

This comes despite a major push from the Turkish side’s fanbase, with Carsi – Besiktas’ ultra group – flooding Sancho’s latest Instagram post with over 5.3 million comments urging him to join.

That extraordinary engagement has put the post among the top five most commented on Instagram, yet it has not changed Sancho’s stance.

Besiktas president Serdal Adali has openly acknowledged the challenge, stating:

“Just as much as the community wants him, I want him too.

“What matters is not only our desire, but also if the player wants to come to Turkey.”

With that door now closed, United will hope a preferred suitor emerges soon.

Or they may be forced to push Sancho into making a final decision before the transfer deadline.
