Inter Milan are preparing for the new Serie A season as they look to take on Torino at home on 25th August as they kick off their campaign.
Last season saw them come runners up as Napoli toppled them off the thrown, having won the year before to seal their 20th Serie A title.
Now Inter manager Cristian Chivu is mounting an attack to reclaim the title, having beaten both AS Monaco and Monza in the pre-season.
With one more pre-season friendly set for this weekend against Olympiacos, Inter have a final chance to test and strengthen tactics before the league gets underway.
However, the Italian giants aren’t quite finished assembling their squad as they now look to one of Manchester United’s outcasts.
Italian publication Gazetta has reported that Inter are now looking to Jadon Sancho this summer to reinforce their attack.
For a while it looked as though Sancho would be joining Serie A with Juventus, with his agent even arriving in Turin to get a deal across the line.
Despite Sancho agreeing terms to join The Old Lady, and a severance payment reportedly agreed for the winger to take a pay cut, the move appears to have gone quiet, opening the door for Inter.
When a move was on the cards for Chelsea to seal a permanent move for the former England international, a fee of £25 million was agreed, however that has now reportedly dropped to around £17 million.
It’s understood that the Italian side aren’t worried about personal terms, with the club feeling positive in their bargaining position heading into negotiations for Jadon Sancho.
As a member of the “bomb squad”, Sancho’s United career is over, having no place in Ruben Amorim’s long-term plans, and as such has been marked as a priority sale this summer.
