As the 2025/26 Premier League season draws near, Manchester United continue to make waves off the pitch, reinforcing their ambition to reclaim domestic and European glory.

The Reds have enjoyed a promising pre-season, with Ruben Amorim’s squad showing renewed energy and unity ahead of a campaign free from European midweek distractions.

Meanwhile, several Premier League rivals are ramping up investment in their facilities and infrastructure, emphasising the growing arms race to attract and retain top talent.

United’s response comes in the form of a significant overhaul of their training base, aimed at boosting performance and building a winning culture from the ground up.

The club has proudly announced the completion of a £50 million redevelopment of the Carrington Training Complex, marking a major milestone in their long-term vision.

This ambitious project was led by Foster + Partners, under the guidance of the celebrated Mancunian architect Lord Norman Foster.

The new facility features cutting-edge design and technology, focused on fostering collaboration, innovation, and excellence within the squad.

This redevelopment is the latest in a series of investments at Carrington, following the £10 million facility completed in 2024 for the women’s first team and men’s Academy.

Taken together, these projects push total spending at the training complex to more than £60 million in just three years, as revealed by Manchester United via the officially club website.

The upgrades have effectively unified all of Manchester United’s teams within a single, modernised campus, creating an integrated footballing environment that supports player development and first-team success alike.

The enhancements include improved spaces for fitness, nutrition, recovery, and team bonding, reflecting the club’s holistic approach to player care and performance.

Input from players and staff helped shape the design, which emphasises openness, connectivity, and natural light, creating a stimulating atmosphere that promotes focus and unity.

With this state-of-the-art campus now fully operational, Manchester United are signalling their intent to compete at the highest level once again.

The Carrington redevelopment represents more than just bricks and mortar; it is a statement of ambition that the club hopes will translate into success on the pitch for years to come.
