Manchester United’s summer business is far from over as Ruben Amorim looks to further strengthen his squad ahead of the new campaign.

The Red Devils have been active in the transfer window, adding the likes of Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo, but midfield reinforcements remain a point of focus as the club eyes more balance in the middle of the park.

With uncertainty surrounding Casemiro’s role this season, United are carefully assessing options that can offer control, work rate and creativity.

While the club continues to track Benjamin Sesko and address the striker position, they’ve also quietly kept tabs on emerging talents across Europe in other departments.

And now, it appears that Turkey could be the destination of their next big midfield addition.

According to Takvim, Manchester United are lining up a formal offer for Galatasaray’s Brazilian midfielder Gabriel Sara, who has attracted interest from several English clubs this summer.

The 26-year-old, formerly of Norwich City, made 45 appearances for Galatasaray last season and has become a central figure in Okan Buruk’s squad.

United reportedly view Sara as a versatile option who could slot into Amorim’s double pivot system, offering both technical ability and positional awareness.

Galatasaray, however, are said to be holding out for €40 million (£34.7 million) , despite earlier suggestions that they may entertain bids closer to €35 million (£30.3 million) .

Gabriel Sara is under contract until June 2029, meaning the Turkish giants are under no pressure to sell unless their valuation is met.

It was reported back in June that United were interested in Sara but nothing came out of it until now.

In addition to United, Manchester City, Aston Villa, Wolves, Nottingham Forest, Everton and Leeds United have also been linked with the player — though none are yet believed to have made a formal offer.

United’s reported approach is expected in the coming days as the club assesses whether Sara can add the composure and depth needed in a physically demanding season ahead.
