Antony joined Manchester United as the long-term solution to their persistent right-wing issue.

However, despite scoring three goals in his first three games for the club, Antony ultimately flattered to deceive, with both on-field and off-field issues marring his time at Old Trafford.

Brought in by Erik ten Hag, Antony’s future was immediately thrown into doubt once the Dutchman departed, and after a promising loan spell at Real Betis, the winger now looks set to leave the club permanently.

Al-Nassr have submitted a bid for the Brazilian in hopes of agreeing a deal with United before Real Betis, who are also pushing to sign him on a permanent basis.

This comes shortly after they lodged a £45 million bid for Chelsea forward Joao Felix, as they aim to revamp their attack alongside Cristiano Ronaldo.

UOL have now reported that Manchester United are looking for around £50 million for the winger, aiming to recoup as much of the fee they paid for him just a few years ago.

There is still strong competition for Antony from a number of clubs across Europe, with United hoping the widespread interest can spark a bidding war and result in a higher fee, in order to boost the funds available for more incomings this summer.

Although it was revealed that Real Betis are currently favourites, Antony is reportedly keen on a move to the Saudi Pro League, making this deal likely to happen if the two clubs can come to an agreement.

United remain focused on outgoings this summer, actively trying to offload their “bomb squad” before the season begins, and after selling Marcus Rashford to Barcelona, the Antony move would be another useful deal for raising additional funds during this window.
