Manchester United winger Antony is looking set to depart Old Trafford for good this summer as part of The Red Devils’ “bomb squad”.

The label given to Antony and four of his United outcasts, Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho and Tyrell Malacia, has been given to the five as having no place in Ruben Amorim’s long-term plans.

As such, the five were given extended leave, have been on individual training at Carrington and have been left out of the pre-season tour of America so they can prioritise a move away.

However, we’re now only a month away from the start of the 2025/26 Premier League season and only Marcus Rashford has left, going on loan to Barcelona.

Sancho is still looking likely to depart on a permanent basis to move to Juventus, whilst Garnacho is now receiving links with Bayern Munich.

Malacia on the other had has had limited interest, however now has had an official bid put in by an unknown Saudi Pro League side.

As for Antony, the Brazilian winger has been strongest link to a return to Real Betis, turning his loan move into a permanent transfer.

However, WinWin has now reported that Antony’s agent has confirmed another avenue is open.

Junior Pedrossa has commented that Saudi sides are also interested in Antony and he’s open to the possibility.

Antony’s commented: “What I can say is that the player is on the market, and there are several clubs that want to know his current status.”

He continued: “We listen to the projects and analyse them. But he is open to moving to Saudi Arabia. Anything is possible, we are looking for what is best for him.”

As such we could see Antony head to the Saudi Pro League, however, he could equally re-join Amorim’s squad.

Earlier today in a press conference, Amorim commented that if the “bomb squad” members can’t seal a move away from United this summer, they are still players of the club so will be given the opportunity to fight for game time.
