Paul Pogba comments on Marcus Rashford’s move to Barcelona

The news that Marcus Rashford would be moving to Barcelona, as revealed by Fabrizio Romano, came to the shock of the entire footballing world.

The move will be a loan to buy deal meaning that Barcelona will have the option to permanently sign Marcus Rashford if he puts forward a positive displays whilst with the Spanish giants.

This news followed weeks of hints from Rashford, like changing his profile picture on X, about his departure from Old Trafford this summer.

Furthermore, the 27-year-old’s isolation from Ruben Amorim’s senior squad alongside five other players, including Antony and Alejandro Garnacho, further emphasised United’s encouragement for Rashford to find a move away from Manchester United.

Since the move was announced yesterday, there has been a large amount of conversation within the United fanbase about what the move may mean for Marcus Rashford and for the Red Devils themselves.

Now, former Manchester United star Paul Pogba has commented on the winger’s move to Spain.

Speaking on the move, Pogba stated: ‘That’s crazy. I’m happy for him because they took his number out. Manchester United, they’re losing a great player, unlucky for them.’

He also expressed that the move was ‘great for Barcelona.’

Marcus Rashford and Paul Pogba were teammates at Manchester United during Pogba’s second spell at Old Trafford.

During their time together, the pairing were able to win the Europa League, FA Cup and Community Shield.

Paul Pogba recently completed his own move to AS Monaco and both players will be aiming to make a positive impact at their new clubs as Pogba returns to full-time football and Rashford returns to regular first team football.
