Marcus Rashford looks set to move to Spanish giants Barcelona following Fabrizio Romano’s famous ‘here we go’ approval of the deal yesterday.

This follows the English international’s loan spell at Premier League side Aston Villa during the second half of the 2024-25 season.

Whilst with Villa, Rashford was able to rediscover some of his old form with four goals for Unai Emery’s side in the 17 times he played.

However, his spell at Aston Villa was cut short due to a hamstring injury that he picked up during Villa’s Premier League game against Manchester City in April.

Now, an update has emerged ahead of the winger’s move to Spain in the coming days.

According to Spanish source AS, medical reports have been held by the Spanish club ahead of his medical which have revealed that Rashford is continuing his recovery from his hamstring injury.

This injury has affected a more delicate part of the muscle this time.

The source also has revealed that it is expected that the 27-year-old will be discharged in the coming days and will therefore be able to participate in training with Barcelona’s squad with any problems.

However, AS have also stated that preventive measures are being considered to avoid relapses due to this not being the first time that Marcus Rashford has had problems with his hamstring.

With this news now revealed, Rashford will be hoping that he will be able to return to first-team training with the rest of Barcelona’s squad as soon as possible and with preventive measures, the hope will be that this is the last time the winger is affected by his hamstring.

Not picking up anymore injuries will be crucial to making Marcus Rashford’s spell in Spain a success and will be pivotal to helping the winger regaining his confidence next season.
