Manchester United are now looking to sell a number of players this summer.

As part of the rebuild under Ruben Amorim, the club is aiming to assemble a squad that is not only a tactical fit but also a cultural one, capable of handling the pressure at United and delivering success.

To achieve that, outgoings are just as important as incomings.

United have already confirmed the signing of Matheus Cunha and look set to complete a deal for Bryan Mbeumo.

While further additions are expected, player sales will be key, both to raise funds and to trim what has become a bloated squad.

Five United players have been removed from training with the first team squad as they look for moves away, highlighting United’s desire to sell this summer.

One of these players is Antony, looking to depart Old Trafford permanently after a successful loan spell at Real Betis.

Antony has had huge amounts of interest this summer, with five clubs contacting the winger, interested in making a move for the Brazilian.

The five reported clubs interested are Bayer Leverkusen, Brighton, Newcastle, RB Leipzig and old club Real Betis all interested.

However, Pete Hall has revealed a new club interested in Antony, via The i Paper.

Atletico Madrid are now emerging as the frontrunners in the race to sign Antony.

Antony is valued at £30 million by United.

While Real Betis were initially favourites to make his loan move permanent, financial constraints have opened the door for other clubs to enter the conversation.

Under Diego Simeone, Atletico require hard-working wingers capable of covering ground and contributing at both ends of the pitch.

Antony can offer these qualities.

He has also shown flashes of his undeniable quality whilst at Real Betis.

Showing his potential to shine in a less physically demanding league like La Liga.

All parties will be keen to find a swift resolution, with pre-season preparations underway and squads starting to take shape.
