With Matheus Cunha already confirmed and Bryan Mbeumo expected to follow shortly, Manchester United’s attention must now shift to outgoings.

While the club’s next priority remains signing a striker, it’s understood that further additions will depend on player sales.

Financial flexibility is crucial, but just as important for United is trimming the squad and building a group of players who meet the standards of quality, mentality, and commitment expected at Old Trafford.

Ruben Amorim is determined to shape a squad that reflects his vision, and United are actively pursuing outgoings in the market.

As it stands, five players are training away from the first team at Carrington as they look to finalise moves away from the club.

United have been searching for a solution for Marcus Rashford, who is no longer required at the club under Ruben Amorim after his loan at Aston Villa.

The club have now reached an agreement with Barcelona for the loan with an option to buy for Rashford.

United would have preferred a permanent deal away, but with Barcelona covering all of Rashford’s wages during the loan, United are set to save £17 million from the deal.

These gains in the transfer market will be essential as United look for incomings, with the deal suiting all parties involved.

However, Fabrizio Romano has provided further details on the deal via his YouTube channel.

He revealed that Marcus Rashford to Barcelona is now a confirmed “here we go,” with the player himself playing a key role in pushing for the move.

As part of the final negotiations, both clubs are discussing the inclusion of a penalty clause.

A fee Barcelona would pay if they choose not to trigger the buy option at the end of the loan.

This would mirror the clause Chelsea activated when Jadon Sancho was sent back to Manchester United after his his loan spell.

With just the final terms left to be agreed, all parties, United, Barcelona, and Rashford are hopeful the deal can be finalised quickly, paving the way for a smooth exit from his boyhood club.
