Manchester United will be looking to strengthen their squad ahead of their opening Premier League game against Arsenal in three weeks time.
In ways, we can see that Manchester United have already done this through the signing of Matheus Cunha from Wolves for £62.5 million who is proven in the Premier League and will most likely take up a starting position in Ruben Amorim’s squad next season.
The signings of Diego Leon and Enzo Kana-Biyik will also add depth and quality to the senior squad although it is most likely that these will be stars to look for in future seasons.
But, more must be done if United are to improve on last season’s 15th place finish in the Premier League and if they are to compete for the league’s coveted European spots come May next year.

For this to happen, money will be pivotal.
This is why the news that Manchester United are set to save £16.9 million next season.
This is due to Barcelona’s proposal to pay the full wage – £325,000 per week – of Marcus Rashford if he move to Spain this summer.
Multiplying 325,000 by 52 equals 16,900,000 which is where we’ve got the £16.9 million figure from.
The saving of this money from the move of Marcus Rashford will free up money in Manchester United’s wage budget which will be beneficial when targeting other players.
This could be a variety of players but may fall in midfield following Ruben Amorim’s comments after United’s game against Leeds United today.

One midfielder Manchester United may choose to target is current Juventus star Douglas Luiz who has been linked with a move to Old Trafford this summer.
The former Aston Villa man was part of a trio of players that were considered as a potential option for a swap deal in Juventus’ efforts to sign Jadon Sancho.
Whether it be Luiz, a midfielder or a player in another position, the money saved from Rashford’s move to Barcelona will benefit United in some form.
