Newcastle United have added another former Manchester United star to their ranks after signing Antony Elanga last week.
Elanga moved from Nottingham Forest in a £55 million move last week, making a massive profit for Forest who bought him in 2023 from United for £15 million.
However, the Red Devils have also benefited from the move due to their 15% sell-on clause, bagging them £6 million from the move.

Unfortunately though United aren’t getting any financial benefit from Newcastle’s most recent signing, with the defender being a free transfer having been released by The Red Devils at the end of their contract.
Now, The Magpies have taken to their official website to announce the signing of Aoife Mannion after she left Old Trafford.
In the announcement, Newcastle commented: “Newcastle United Women have completed the signing of Aoife Mannion following her departure from Manchester United.”

Adding to the announcement, the Women’s team manager, Becky Langley commented: “Aoife is another player who brings a wealth of WSL experience with her, and we are really pleased that she has joined Newcastle United.
She continued: “She is a defender who loves to be on the ball and will be a leader in the backline. She also has exceptional ability defending in one-v-one situations. Her ambitions match perfectly with ours and we are excited to work with her.”
Speaking about joining the club, Mannion commented: “It feels so good to be part of the club. I’m really looking forward to getting stuck in and trying to hit the ground running.
“It is clear to everybody the direction this club is going in, it’s really exciting to be a part of.”
