This summer is quite possibly the most important summer transfer window of recent time for Manchester United as the club have to mount a comeback after their worst season in over 30 years.
Finishing 15th in the Premier League, failing to secure European football for next year was the club’s worst result since being relegated in the 1973/74 season, and as such need to fight back hard to restore their former winning ways.
In a bid to do so, the club’s recruitment team have been scouting targets for across the pitch, with a clear focus on their attack until now.

When the transfer window opened, United finalised the move of Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers; however have now stalled with their pursuit of Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo.
However, with United’s new bid of £65 million plus £5 million in add-ons on the table, we could see the move take place before Ruben Amorim and his men head to the United States.
Aside from United’s recruitment for their attacking trio, it’s understood that the club are also looking for a new wing-back, with Brighton and Hove Albion’s Pervis Estupinan making it onto the shortlist.

The 27-year-old left-back has been vital for Brighton this season, grabbing a goal and assist in 30 Premier League games.
However, United are now at risk of missing out on the talented defender to AC Milan.
Gianluca Di Marzio has reported that the Serie A side have submitted a bid of just over £10 million (€12 million) to Brighton for the Ecuador international.
However, The Seagulls have rejected the bid, despite Estupinan’s interest in playing for Milan.
It’s understood that Jorge Mendes has been tasked with smoothing out the deal, with further discussions yet to be had.
