As the new season is just around the corner, so too is the next instalment of EA FC, with the much-loved football video game returning once again.
The franchise had a major branding shift two years ago, moving from the well known FIFA games to EA Sports FC when the partnership between FIFA and EA Sports came to an end.
However, the game itself is still going strong with EA FC 26 set to hit shelves on 26th September 2025.
In the meantime though, the game has officially dropped its trailer, with an interesting new twist.
Rather than showing dramatic stadiums like a film trailer, EA Sports have opted to make the trailer nearly entirely from in-game footage, showing messages of comments and requests for improvements from fans and what they’ve done about them.
The game is boast overhauling the goalkeeper deflections, player mobility with both pace and agility, more realistic tackling and more.
The game also teases improvements to the Manager Mode, with challenges on offer throughout the game mode, with loads more improvements being listed in a rapid scroll before teasing that there’s even more to come.
And of course, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic already announced as being on the cover, the former Manchester United striker pops up saving “give them what they want. Give them Zlatan” before taking a penalty, with his inclusion leaning into the promotion of more Icons in the game.
On the EA Sports X post for the trailer, the account used a thread to reel off all the new features in the game, listing; “Overhauled gameplay, powered by community feedback. Play your way, switching between new Authentic and Competitive Gameplay presets to tailor your experience.
“Complete new challenges with Manager Live. Take on real-world scenarios and alternative storylines throughout the new season.
“Archetypes, inspired by greats of the game. Bring even more personality to the pitch with all new customisation and progression in Clubs & Player Career.
“Deep Dives are coming. July will cover Gameplay, Archetypes & Clubs. August features Career & Ultimate Team. Check out the latest coming to #FC26: x.ea.com/84881”
