Manchester United fans have grown increasingly frustrated by the club’s sluggish activity in the summer transfer window.

Matheus Cunha remains the only significant addition to the first team so far.

While further first-team reinforcements are essential, there’s also a strong emphasis on outgoings this summer.

Departures are of the essence, in order for United to rebuild without going on to have a bloated squad.

Christian Eriksen and Victor Lindelof out the door has helped free up a hefty amount on the wage bill.

And while a lot of talk has been about where Rasmus Hojlund will go, there remains uncertainty over the future of Antony.

According to UOL Esporte’s report, the Brazilian winger has received an enquiry from Newcastle United, who are looking to bolster their squad ahead of next season.

Antony is not part of United’s long-term plans, and the club internally value him at around £50 million, according to UOL’s report.

A significant drop from the £95 million they paid Ajax in 2023.

Antony, who impressed while on loan at Real Betis last season, is in no rush to secure a move and wants to ensure any decision made is done with full conviction.

At 25, the former Sao Paulo attacker still has a contract with United until June 2027.

However, it now appears increasingly likely that he could be on the move again this summer.

Antony thrived at Betis, where he was able to rekindle his spark, expressing his quality from the right flank.

However it would come as quite a surprise if Newcastle go on to be the Brazilian’s next destination.

It would be an opportunity too big for the Red Devils to turn down should the Magpies make an offer.

Especially, considering United’s need to raise funds to help fund the rebuild.
