A Manchester United departure has been on the cards for some time now for Marcus Rashford, with the deal sealed over the last few weeks.
Back in the winter transfer window, Rashford was sent out on loan to Aston Villa following the 27-year-old being dropped from the team after concerns were raised around his focus on the pitch.
However, these concerns seemed to fade for Villa who saw glimpses of Rashford’s former magic as he reclaimed his spot on the England national team.

Unfortunately for Rashford, with The Villains failing to secure Champions League football, they couldn’t commit to the £40 million option to buy, with his £325,000 per week wages being too much of a financial burden.
Ultimately Rashford returned to Old Trafford, which has opened a door for a dream move to Barcelona as the England international has super-agent Pini Zahavi working on the move with him spotted in the Spanish city with club officials.
Whilst Barca appear to be front-runners to sign the attacker, there are a few others in the race for the United academy graduate, with Rashford having no place in Ruben Amorim’s line-up.
This was as good as confirmed with his iconic number 10 shirt being taken from him and given to new signing Matheus Cunha, and with the attacker only doing individual training rather than training with the squad since returning to Carrington for pre-season.

As such, Barca are working on a move for the attacker, however along with them are Bayern Munich, who see Rashford as a back up to Luis Diaz, PSG and a surprise Premier League side.
CaughtOffside have reported that Rashford has actually popped up on Chelsea’s radar, with the London-based side having previously pursued his teammates Alejandro Garnacho and Jadon Sancho.
Ultimately it’s unlikely Marcus Rashford would join Chelsea as he previously commented he does not want to move to London.
As such, Barca only really have the other European giants to contend with, however with Rashford willing to take a 40% pay-cut and accept a loan-to-buy offer, it’s seemingly all in their court.
