Memphis Depay’s time at Manchester United is rarely remembered as a success, despite the excitement surrounding his £30 million move from PSV Eindhoven in 2015.
The Dutch international lasted just over a season at Old Trafford, departing in early 2017 after producing no more than 10 goal contributions.

Since then, Depay has rebuilt his career impressively, enjoying standout spells at Lyon, Barcelona, and Atletico Madrid.
Although injuries derailed his progress in Spain.
Now, the 31-year-old could be set for another European comeback.
This time under former United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Besiktas have emerged as favourites to sign Depay after his relationship with Brazilian club Corinthians completely broke down.
According to Fotomac’s report, the Turkish side have been given the green light by Corinthians.
Depay still has a year left on his deal – and the club are now negotiating personal terms directly with the player.
Corinthians are reportedly keen to offload the Dutchman due to financial tensions.
Tensions including an unpaid debt of £625,000 and a further £1.25 million due in bonuses later this year.

Depay is said to be open to a move back to Europe.
Besiktas will be hoping to finalise the deal quickly and partner him with fellow striker Tammy Abraham, who once offered himself to United.
If terms are agreed, Depay will join a side that finished fourth in the Super Lig last season and are looking to mount a serious title challenge under Solskjaer’s management.
The Dutch international back in February, was handed a four-month suspended sentence for “dangerous driving” after being stopped by the police whilst on a night out in Monaco last summer.
Depay is also banned from driving for two years, however he’ll now be hoping to join Besiktas and enjoy his football once again.
