Manchester United’s transfer window looks to be gathering momentum, with the club now making real progress in pursuit of key attacking reinforcements.

Ruben Amorim is eager to shape the squad in his image, and attention has now turned to bolstering the wide areas.

With Jadon Sancho likely to depart and questions lingering around Antony’s consistency, United have prioritised a move for a right-sided winger who can create havoc.

Several names have been floated over the past month, but one target has remained constant — Bryan Mbeumo.

Now, a major breakthrough could be imminent.

Bryan Mbeumo has just come off a phenomenal campaign in the Premier League, scoring 20 goals and providing seven assists — form that attracted interest from Tottenham Hotspur.

However, despite competition, Bryan Mbeumo has made it clear that he only wants Manchester United.

INEOS have already seen multiple bids rejected by Brentford.

Reports suggest increasing optimism that a deal will be finalised before Manchester United depart for their US summer tour.

Romano’s update further fuels the speculation, with the Italian journalist revealing that Brentford are actively searching for Mbeumo’s replacement.

Posting on X, he stated: “Brentford are showing initial interest in Omari Hutchinson as possible replacement for Bryan Mbeumo in case of exit with Man Utd on it.

“Brentford appreciate Hutchinson but no club-to-club talks yet with Ipswich Town.”

Hutchinson, a 21-year-old winger who impressed for Ipswich last season, even scored against Manchester United during a 1-1 draw in Ruben Amorim’s first game in charge — an audition of sorts that may now indirectly help seal United’s deal for Mbeumo.

Mbeumo is reportedly growing increasingly frustrated as Manchester United consider a third bid, having already seen two offers turned down.

With Brentford stepping up their efforts to replace him, United’s long pursuit of Mbeumo could finally reach a successful conclusion in the coming days.
