Swansea City have been preparing for the 2025-26 season through their summer transfer window.
The Swans, who finished 11th last campaign, will be aiming to push further up the table and towards the playoffs next season.
After sacking Michael Duff during a poor start to the last campaign, Michael Sheehan was brought in as caretaker boss.
Following a successful run during his tenure as caretaker, Sheehan was given the role on a more permanent basis.
Now, Swansea City will be hoping that they can continue their upward momentum as they look to return to the English Premier League.
Part of that is their pursuit of new players.
The Swans have already been active during the transfer window by bringing new faces to the Swansea.com Stadium.
One of the players that Swansea City have been targeting is former Manchester United midfielder Ethan Galbraith.
The versatile player impressed at Leyton Orient last season, with Orient finishing 6th in EFL League One, but were unable to gain promotion to the EFL Championship.
Despite reaching the play-off finals, Orient were beaten by Charlton Athletic in the final.
During the 2024-25 season, Ethan Galbraith was able to score on six occasions whilst also matching this figure in his assist numbers.
He was also impressive in many elements of his gameplay, especially when on the ball.
Last season, Galbraith was able to create 46 chances and completed 19 successful crosses.
Furthermore, he executed 29 successful dribbles and was able to pass the ball on 1257 occasions.
This shows that when he has the ball, he is able to successfully create opportunities as well as simply running with it.
Instead, he is able to create a positive impact and is able to be dangerous for his team.
This ability, alongside his natural talent, has attracted interest from several clubs that included Charlton Athletic who just had bid rejected for Ethan Galbraith.
However, now, Swansea City have officially won the battle for the 24 year old.
The Swans posted on the news on their website along with the comments of head coach Alan Sheehan, saying: “We are delighted to have secured Ethan’s services and added him to the squad early into our pre-season preparations”.
He continued: “He has terrific technical ability which I am sure Swansea fans will appreciate and enjoy when they get to see him in action.
“Ethan is hungry and motivated for the challenge of stepping up to the Championship. He is excited to be joining Swansea City and we are looking forward to integrating him into the squad over the coming weeks.”
Ethan Galbraith will now make the step up to the EFL Championship with Swansea City where he will be look to develop his abilities even more.
